Reach out to your local abortion fund and figure out ways to get involved, whether that’s volunteering, donating, or something else.

Be aware of the way pronatalism creeps into every space, including climate change, housing, and more.

Play defense. Call your local house reps and senators to take action against any pronatalist bills making their way through state legislatures. Advocate for actual pro-family values in policy, including paid leave, contraception access, housing, and universal pre-k.

If you are a health care provider, consider not drug testing your pregnant patients (only a few states require mandated reporters) and be more cautious about what you choose to write down on a chart. If a prosecutor in your jurisdiction is fudging the law, vote them out. Generate outrage—on social media or via protest. If you need follow up care after taking abortion pills, you do not have to tell medical staff that you have previously taken abortion pills.

If you can, donate to and support organizations like If/When/How and Pregnancy Justice, which seek to protect the human and legal rights of those criminalized for their pregnancy outcomes. You can also support the Movement for Family Power and Just Making a Change for Families.

If you were pregnant and wanted an abortion, could you access one based on where you are living in the U.S.?

Watch out for red flags on social media that are fear-based and not evidence-based. Be thoughtful of how this information is presented to you.
